Born and raised in Florida, I spent my adult years in Denver, CO, Everett, WA and Arlington, TX before settling in Durham in 1996 to attend graduate school at Duke University, ultimately receiving my Master of Public Policy Degree in 1998. With my degree in hand, I secured a position with the City of Durham where I served residents of the city for more than a decade. During this period I became intimately involved in the numerous economic development projects that transformed Durham from an historic tobacco town to the vibrant city it is today. I left the City in 2007 when I went to work for a multinational engineering firm as a construction project manager. Responsible for projects throughout the U.S., my job often required flying to work on Monday mornings, unable to see my family again until the weekend. As a mom and a “Nana” to (now) 8 grandchildren, this way of life just didn’t work for me or my family, so I decided to hang up my frequent flyer miles and follow my heart. I changed careers, and became a Realtor. And I am so glad I did! I consider it a privilege to help people find the right homes for themselves and their families, and to help my clients get their homes sold so they can move on to the next chapter in their lives.
