Regina is the capital city of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The town is the second-largest in the province, after Saskatoon, along with a cultural and industrial centre for south eastern Saskatchewan. It is governed by Regina Town Council. Regina was earlier the seat of government of the North-West Territories, which the existing provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta initially formed portion, as well as of the District of Assiniboia.
